NFL: The Giants humiliated once again

New York Giants fans will start to find the clock ticking this season, with their favorites nearly silenced by the Seattle Seahawks in a 24-3 loss Tuesday night at MetLife Stadium.

Local team quarterback Daniel Jones seemed alone in the world on his side. Not only did he have 10 sacks, he had to take charge on the ground with 10 carries. Without a favorite target, he was unable to gain ground to put himself in a position to score points.

Also tackling Parris Campbell in the pocket, the Seahawks had 11 sacks, which was the highest total since the hell the Baltimore Ravens put the Tennessee Titans through in a 21-0 victory on 14 October 2018.

Jones also threw two interceptions, including one to Devin Witherspoon that turned into a touchdown. The rookie player took his legs to his shot, bringing the ball 97 yards.

For his part, Geno Smith was rather discreet. He threw a pass in the end zone to DK Metcalf, but Seattle trusted running back Kenneth Walker III more. He completed 17 races and crossed the paying zone once.

The Seahawks (3-1) lost the services of safety Jamal Adams in the first quarter. He suffered a concussion in his first game in a year and a half, having been hit in the head by Jones’ knee. Adams was removed from the meeting, not without berating the doctor who came to check on his state of health.

The Giants (1-3) have the worst offensive record in the NFL so far, with 46 points scored in four games, including three in two home games. The Dallas Cowboys defeated them 40-0 at MetLife Stadium to open the regular season.
