NFL | Quarterback Ryan Tannehill leads Titans to 27-17 win over Packers

(Green Bay) Ryan Tannehill threw two touchdowns, had 333 passing yards and helped the Tennessee Titans beat Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers 27-17 on Thursday.

Tannehill looked much livelier in his second game since returning after missing two games with a right ankle injury. He found takers on 22 of 27 passes — one of which was intercepted — and the Titans (7-3) won for the seventh time in eight games.

For their part, the Packers (4-7) have bowed out in six of their last seven meetings.

Rodgers completed 24 of 39 passes for 227 yards. He also spotted rookie Christian Watson twice in the end zone.

Watson scored three majors last Sunday in a 31-28 overtime win over the Dallas Cowboys.

Watson became the first Packers rookie, since Max McGee in 1954, to achieve two or more touchdowns in consecutive games.

The Packers limited Titans running back Derrick Henry to 87 yards and one touchdown on 28 carries — an average of 3.1 yards per carry. The Titans still set season highs for points and yards amassed (408).

Tannehill’s touchdown passes were a 14-yard pass to Dontrell Hilliard and a 16-yard pass to Austin Hooper.
