(Henderson) Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has agreed to a three-year, $67.5 million contract with the Las Vegas Raiders, according to a person familiar with the deal.
The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal cannot be announced until Wednesday.
The contract includes 34 million guaranteed, the source said.
Garappolo has played for the San Francisco 49ers for the past six seasons.
The Niners made it to the Super Bowl in 2020, losing 31-20 to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Prior to that, Garoppolo played for the New England Patriots for three years.
The Pats’ offense was then coordinated by Josh McDaniels, now head coach of the Raiders.
The Raiders went 6-11 last year, their worst showing in three years since being based in Nevada.
Garoppolo played 11 games for San Francisco last year. He had 2,437 passing yards, with 16 touchdown passes and four interceptions. His season was cut short by a broken left foot.
