Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes said he spoke with Tom Brady this week to get some advice ahead of the NFL’s American Conference Finals.
“I’ve talked to Tom a bit, I have a good relationship with him now, and he gives me a lot of advice,” Mahomes told NBC Sports. Why wouldn’t you want to learn some GOAT [en anglais, “Greatest of All Time”]? Whenever someone like that wants to give me advice, I take it into account. It’s good to hear the guys you’ve seen growing up all your life talk to you like that.
Brady has always had the upper hand at number 15. In Mahomes’ first All-American championship game after the 2018 season, he won the game with the New England Patriots. He also had the last laugh at the Super Bowl of the 2020 campaign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The 27-year-old center led his team to the conference final for the fifth straight year in a 27-20 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday. The latter sprained his ankle in the last game, but he plans to play against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
