NFL | Odell Beckham Jr. has signed a one-year contract with the Dolphins, according to the AP

(Miami) The Miami Dolphins have agreed to a one-year contract with wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., a person with knowledge of the deal told The Associated Press on Friday.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the contract was not yet official.

The NFL Network was the first to report the news, adding that the value of the contract would be US$8.25 million.

Beckham, who is 31, would join a fifth team after stops with the Los Angeles Rams, Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns and New York Giants, who drafted him 12th overall.e rank of the 2014 session. He won the Super Bowl with the Rams at the end of the 2021 season.

Last season Beckham caught 35 passes for 565 yards and three touchdowns with the Ravens, who released him in March.

He then met with the Dolphins during the off-season and received an offer. However, the two parties had not found common ground until now.

Beckham established himself as one of the most dangerous receivers in the NFL in his first three seasons with the Giants, amassing more than 1,300 yards each time.

He was traded to the Browns in 2019 and spent two seasons with the team before joining the Rams. A knee injury forced him to miss the entire 2022 season.

With the Dolphins, he will join a group that already includes Tyreek Hill, last year’s NFL leader in air yards, and Jaylen Waddle. Hill and Waddle combined for 2,813 more yards than any other receiver duo in the NFL in 2023.

The Dolphins, however, were hoping to add depth to their receiver group for the 2024 season.
