(Orchard Park) Josh Allen threw four touchdown passes in the first half and the Buffalo Bills beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 47-10 on Monday night.
The Bills quarterback completed 22 of 28 passes for 247 yards in the first 30 minutes of play. He attempted just two passes in the second half before being replaced by Mitchell Trubisky.
Allen threw his touchdown passes to Dalton Kincaid, Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir and Ty Johnson.
James Cook opened the scoring with a six-yard rushing touchdown.
The Bills defense limited the Jaguars to 70 yards, five first downs and a field goal in the first half.
The game was essentially over when Allen completed a 16-yard touchdown pass to Johnson with 19 seconds left in the first half.
Safety Damar Hamlin, who suffered a cardiac arrest on the field on January 2, 2023, contributed to his team’s success by making the first interception of his career.
Five plays later, Allen threw a 27-yard touchdown pass to Shakir.
The Bills have won their first three games of the season for the first time since 2020.
The Jaguars, meanwhile, lost their first three games for the first time since 2021. Head coach Urban Meyer was fired before the season.
