According to the NFL Network on Sunday, the 29-year-old veteran has signed a one-year, $11 million contract with the Ohio club. The free agent would also have turned down several more lucrative offers from other teams to stay in Cleveland.
Last year, in his first season with the Browns, Clowney had nine quarterback sacks, 37 tackles and two defended passes in 14 games.
He previously played for the Tennessee Titans (2020), Seattle Seahawks (2019) and Houston Texans (2014-2018).
