The Washington Commanders announced on Saturday the hiring of Eric Bieniemy as offensive coordinator and assistant head coach.

The 53-year-old had been in charge of the Kansas City Chiefs’ offense since the 2018 campaign, having joined the Missouri team as running backs coach in 2013.
He won the Super Bowl twice with the Chiefs, including the one played last week.
Bieniemy worked as a running back from 1991 to 1999 in the NFL. He played for the San Diego Chargers, Cincinnati Bengals and Philadelphia Eagles.
He then made the jump behind the University of Colorado Buffaloes bench. He also coached the UCLA Bruins, before returning to the NFL as running backs coach for the Minnesota Vikings.
