NFL | Cowboys win 20-15 against the Giants

(East Rutherford) Dak Prescott threw one of his two touchdown passes to CeeDee Lamb and the Dallas Cowboys defeated the New York Giants 20-15 on Thursday night.

This is a seventh straight victory for the Cowboys against the Giants and a 14e in 15 matches.

Prescott, who has won his last 13 starts against the Giants, connected with Rico Dowdle with a 15-yard pass to give his team the lead in the first quarter.

The Texan quarterback then joined Lamb for a 55-yard touchdown pass. The wide winger was punished for unsportsmanlike behavior following the middle finger as he threw the ball towards his pursuers before showing his muscles.

Prescott finished the game with 22 completions of 27 for 227 yards. Lamb, for his part, caught seven passes for 98 yards.

Brandon Aubrey made field goals of 60 and 40 yards for the Cowboys (2-2), who were raising concerns following losses to the New Orleans Saints and the Baltimore Ravens.

A new source of concern for the Cowboys: Micah Parsons left the game in the fourth quarter with what appears to be a leg injury.

Greg Joseph made field goals of 52, 41, 38, 22 and 42 yards for the Giants (1-3), who did not score a touchdown despite just over 35 minutes of possession.

The New York team did not score a touchdown last week either, in a 28-6 defeat against the Minnesota Vikings.

What hurt the Giants was their inability to run the ball against the league’s worst rushing defense.

The Cowboys had given up an average of 185.7 yards to their opponents so far, but the Giants had only 26 yards on 24 carries.

Daniel Jones completed 29 of 40 passes for 281 yards, finding Malik Nabers 12 times for 115 yards and Wan’Dale Robinson 11 times for 71 yards. But he was unable to find the paid area.

Nabers left late in the match due to a concussion.

Jones threw an interception on the Giants’ final possession.

If there’s one positive to bring up on the Giants’ side, it’s that they kept the game close until the very end. They had lost the last two games to the Cowboys by a combined score of 89-17.
