Judge was behind 131 points in 2022, five more than Jose Ramirez of the Cleveland Guardians. His long-ball total (62) is the most in American League history, leading his closest pursuer, Mike Trout (Los Angeles Angels) by 22 warning shots.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who led major league baseball with 48 outings last year, could only do better than 32 home runs this season. The Toronto Blue Jays player finished seventh in the American.

Judge, however, is second in batting average (.311), only slightly lower than Minnesota Twins first baseman Luis Arraez (.316).

Jays shortstop Bo Bichette is the second-straight hitter with 189.

In pitching, Justin Verlander (Houston Astros) led in both wins (18) and run-against average (1.75). Toronto ace Alek Manoah finished second and third respectively in those categories.

Also for the Jays, reliever Jordan Romano finished third with 36 saves, behind Emmanyel Clase (Guardians) 42 and Liam Hendriks (Chicago White Sox) 37.
