New York recreated in Montreal

You don’t have to drive for hours to feel like you’re visiting the Big Apple. A sector of the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce (NDG) district, in the west of Montreal, has been transformed into New York for the needs of the filming of the American horror film Scream 6found on Tuesday The newspaper.

From McGill to Lafontaine Park

This is not the first time that the filming of the 6th part of Scream (Chills) has been attracting the attention of curious people and fans of the horror saga since the beginning of the summer in Montreal. A few weeks ago, the production team took up residence for a few days on the campus of McGill University. Scenes from the feature film were also shot in La Fontaine Park.

The feature, directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, will also star Jenna Ortega, Hayden Panettiere, Melissa Barrera and Mason Gooding. Canadian Neve Campbell, the face of the franchise since the release of the first film in 1996, revealed last June that she refused to play in the sixth installment because she felt that the salary offered to her was not not live up to his contribution to the success of the franchise.
