New York Jets | Laurent Duvernay-Tardif added to active training

(Florham Park) The inclusion on the injured list of tackle Max Mitchell by the New York Jets has paved the way for the return to active training of Quebecer Laurent Duvernay-Tardif.

Duvernay-Tardif joined the Jets’ practice roster last month. He was acquired from the Kansas City Chiefs by the Jets in November 2021, but did not play this season in order to complete his medical residency.

He will be in uniform for Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.

Mitchell has been on the non-football injured list and will miss the rest of the season.

Head coach Robert Saleh would not specify the nature of Mitchell’s injury, or how he inflicted it on himself. George Fant will replace him as the starter on the right side.
