New York Jets | Aaron Rodgers operated on for torn Achilles tendon

(Florham Park) New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers announced Thursday evening on Instagram that he had undergone surgery to repair his torn Achilles tendon.

The post showed Rodgers, dressed in medical scrubs, smiling in his hospital bed, with his left foot visibly damaged.

Rodgers said the procedure was done Wednesday by the Dr Neal ElAttrache, an orthopedic surgeon from Los Angeles who has worked with several professional athletes.

“The operation went very well,” Rodgers wrote. Thank you for all the love, well wishes and support. Thanks to the best, the Dr ElAttrache, along with his team, for putting me on the path to recovery. »

Rodgers will miss the rest of the season, having been injured on his team’s fourth play in his debut with the Jets, Monday night, in his team’s 22-16 overtime victory against the Bills.
