New Year’s Eve under high health surveillance in Berry

The alert message is relayed by the Union des métiers et des industries de l’hôtellerie en Berry. The festivities for the transition to 2022 will be particularly controlled. And strict rules will have to be observed by some establishments in public places. In the Cher as in the Indre, drinking establishments and restaurants must close no later than 2 a.m. on New Year’s Eve.

According to the UMIH, “many checks will be carried out by the police and there will be no tolerance or indulgence”. Its president in Berry, Véronique Gaulon, also specifies that instructions were sent to the mayors of the departments of Berry to ensure the organization of private events. “Controls are also planned in the multipurpose rooms as well as in temporary rentals such as AirBnB”, assures the UMIH.
