“They were in love with the same man”

On the occasion of this anniversary, Nagui was, this Friday October 27, 2023, invited on the airwaves of South Radio. During this interview with our colleagues, the host notably returned to a sequence that has become cult: the day when France Gall and Véronique Sanson performed a song by Michel Berger as a duet.

“I found something incredible. Almost the two enemy sisters. You managed to make France Gall and Véronique Sanson sing a song by Michel Berger, knowing that together they were…”, begins Gilles Ganzmann, inviting his interlocutor to continue.

“They were in love with the same man, in this case Michel Berger, and they sang La Groupie du pianiste together. We all imagine the double reading that we can have on the lyrics of this song. It’s intelligence by France Gall who, when she prepared this Taratata, we asked her with whom she would like to do a duet and it was she who said Véronique Sanson. And it was Véronique Sanson’s intelligence to have said yes and to pay homage together, looking into each other’s eyes and smiling at The Pianist’s Groupie, both thinking of the one who had left them, who had left us since Michel had left.” A moving moment which all fans of Taratata remember.
