City and Colour, KALEO, Portugal. The Man, Andy Grammer, Fitz and the Tantrums, Les Hay Babies and The Franklin Electric will be featured in the very first edition of the Cigale event, which will take place on August 6 and 7 at Baie de Beauport.

City and Colour, which features Dallas Green, Icelanders KALEO, Acadiennes Hay Babies, Marieme and The Franklin Electric will take to the stage on August 6th. We will also find Forest Blakk, Allan Rayman and the French electro pop of Kid Francescoli.
The next day, the American training Portugal. The Man, Andy Grammer and Californians Fitz and the Tantrums will headline. The Australian Kim Churchill, Robert Robert, behind the turntables, the Milk & Bone duo, the Congolese Pierre Kwenders and CRi will complete the Sunday line-up. “We have been working on this project for three years. This event was originally scheduled to launch in August 2019. We were ready to call in the media to break this news when the pandemic hit. The event has grown and matured,” noted Martin Tremblay, Chief Operating Officer of the Sports and Entertainment Group of Quebecor and Gestev, during the unveiling of the program.

“We are lucky to have a beach five minutes from downtown. The idea was to highlight this place. Life hasn’t been hectic for the past two years and we all need human contact and seeing friends. It is an event with its own signature,” he added.

Dominique Goulet, director of programming, explains that these small-scale events, called “boutique” festivals, are growing in size. A maximum of 10,000 people will be accepted on site.
