The Russian army again bombarded the Ukrainian city destroying in particular two schools. No child died since distance learning is still required, but three losses would be to be deplored among the employees.
Downtown Donetsk under fire. Three strong detonations sounded, Monday, May 30. A school was affected: “My young fellow teachers came running. They were all bleeding”. However, there were no students present because the class is still done remotely. But according to the director, two maintenance employees were killed.
Opposite the school, on the sidewalk, the body of a woman mowed down by shrapnel. A few hundred meters away, another school was hit at almost the same time. “There is one dead and two injured”, laments the director of the establishment. The covered market district of Donetsk was also reportedly affected. “What is special about these shots is that they hit residential areas, so far spared,” said Luc Lacroix, correspondent in Ukraine.
