(Montreal) Another weekend with gunshots heard in Montreal, this time in the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough.

It was a call to 911 around 3:20 a.m. Sunday that alerted the police to a possibly armed person near an establishment located near Papineau and Mont-Royal Est avenues.
When police arrived, no victims or suspects were in sight. However, evidence confirmed that shots were fired there.
“On site, the police located shell casings on the ground as well as bullet holes on a commercial building and on a vehicle,” says agent Véronique Comtois, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
“A perimeter has been erected to protect the scene. Investigators will travel to the scene to analyze it. They will try to determine the exact circumstances of this event, ”she said before dawn.
The SPVM investigation is continuing.
