Produced by Sphère Média (Cerebrum, Transplanted) and produced by Miryam Bouchard (Alerts, Do you hear me?), Mea Culpa paints a portrait of Bérénice, a professional who supports the approach of people who are victims of criminal acts or those who have committed these acts, to encourage dialogue between them. Her goal is to help these people turn the page in order to better enjoy the present.

The public broadcaster’s press release gives more details about the plot. Bérénice did not choose her profession without reason. While she was in middle school, she and her friends were brutally attacked at a party. One of them was killed, another became a quadriplegic. Twenty-five years later, the culprit is granted parole and returns to their lives.
