Intended for Radio-Canada, this drama will tell of the reunion, after more than thirty years of silence, of three friends, Paul-André, François and Marlène, who once formed the mythical Victo Quartet with Jacynthe, who died too young. .

This meeting will obviously cause its share of turmoil. And we will discover, over the course of the episodes, what nature was their friendship, and why this friendship ended. The presence of a character named Renaud also promises to add a layer of mystery to the plot.

Claude Desrosiers, who had directed Confession, Lights and Brittle, will be behind the camera again for Fragments, confirms the producer André Dupuy, president and founder of Amalga, the box behind The breakaway and Chaos. As for the shootings, they should take place next year.

André Dupuy describes Fragments like “a series on the human being, with all that he is”. And as for the unspoken at the heart of the scenario, some are involuntary, others willed. On the Radio-Canada side, we refuse to give more details, since, according to the public broadcaster, this is an “extremely embryonic” project.

One thing is certain, the writing must be quite advanced since the Society for the development of cultural enterprises (SODEC) has retained Fragments in its television production assistance program, which aims to increase the production value of French-language television series with the objective of increasing their commercial potential outside Quebec.

In the past, series like The Honorable, The fault, The perfect moments and Turn took advantage of this financial assistance.

Since the creations of Serge Boucher are particularly appreciated by viewers, the expectations towards Fragments will certainly be high.

Season 2 for Robot portrait

SODEC also provides support to Robot portrait. Club illico subscribers who enjoyed the first season of the crime thriller last spring will be happy to learn that a second sequel is currently in the works.

Alert to whistleblowers (since the first season of André Gulluni’s police drama starring Sophie Lorain, Rémy Girard and Rachel Graton will be presented on TVA in January): the action will resume three weeks after the appalling slaughter that continues to shake up unity. The latter, however, will have to pull herself together to stop the return of a serial killer and search for the assailant of Maryse (Sophie Lorain).

In addition, SODEC selected a new fiction by Noovo produced by KOTV (Between two sheets, Plan B) titled Double fault, which will tell the rise and especially the meteoric descent of a tennis player who sinks into addiction after failing a doping control.

The spy drama IXE-13 written by Gilles Desjardins (The countries above, Lies), directed by Yan Lanouette Turgeon (The impostor, Epidemic) and intended for Club illico is also part of the selected series.

Same thing for Fault 3, whose shootings began in September, with Isabel Richer, Alexandre Landry, Debbie Lynch-White, Sébastien Ricard and Gilbert Sicotte. For this sequel, Daniel Roby (Louis Cyr, Funkytown) succeeds Patrice Sauvé, director of the first two seasons.

In this new adventure, Detective Sergeant Céline Trudeau returns to her hometown, which forces her to face a trauma she experienced at the age of 16: the sordid murder of Véronique Jolicœur, her cousin and best. friend. Three decades later, the policewoman tries to catch the murderer, still at large.

The flaw 2 will also be presented to TVA starting Tuesday, January 4 at 9 p.m.
