The day after a first salvo of searches launched by the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office (PNF), a new search has been taking place since Wednesday June 21, in the morning, targeting contracts awarded for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, franceinfo learned on Wednesday with the PNF.

This new search targets the sports consulting firm Keneo located in Paris. This search takes place as part of the preliminary investigation opened in 2017 and entrusted to the Central Office for the Fight against Corruption and Financial and Tax Offenses (OCLCIFF) on the counts of illegal taking of interests, embezzlement of public funds, favoritism and concealment of favoritism targeting a market passed by the organizing committee of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games (COJOP).
“No contract awarded for the organization of the Olympics”
In addition, another preliminary investigation has been open since 2022. It is entrusted to the economic crime repression brigade (BRDE), of the heads of illegal taking of interests, favoritism relating to several contracts awarded by the COJOP and the SOLIDEO, following a check by the French Anti-Corruption Agency.
The Keneo company reacted and told franceinfo in a statement to bring “our full collaboration in their approach”. The firm says it is “an independent event and sports marketing agency” And “has, to date, no contract awarded by the COJOP for the organization of the Olympic and Paralympic Games” of 2024.
