Exit BFMTV, Pascale de La Tour du Pin, a renowned 45-year-old journalist, has decided to leave the famous 24-hour news channel to join the group Canal + and more precisely Cyril Hanouna on the channel C8. Since the beginning of the month, the pretty blonde has been at the helm of a new show called PAF in which she deciphers the behind the scenes of the French audiovisual landscape, all surrounded by two columnists who change every day and a distinguished guest.
Even before his arrival on C8, Pascale de La Tour du Pin quickly made the headlines. We first learned that people around her tried to dissuade her from embarking on this new adventure. “Cyril was able to convince me during a lunch. He’s a boss who has a vision of the media and I found his analysis quite fair” the journalist then justified herself.
It was then the rather “motivating” salary of the journalist which was then mentioned. Some sources assured that she would have agreed to leave BFMTV in exchange for a new exorbitant salary. A rumor quickly denied by Cyril Hanouna himself, on Europe 1 radio. “For the financial aspect, we really based ourselves on what she received on BFMTV. That’s it, we didn’t go any higher. We came to an agreement with Pascale. She told me: ‘There, I would like the same thing as what I had on BFM’. We said: ‘Well ok, let’s go with that.'” he assured.
Pascale de La Tour du Pin: a double contract and a “magnificent” salary?

We can first read that the 45-year-old journalist had been approached to replace Jean-Pierre Pernaut on TF1’s 1 p.m. news… but it was ultimately Marie-Sophie Lacarrau who was chosen by the channel.
His salary is then discussed. Our colleagues indeed reveal that the journalist would have signed a permanent contract with H2OCyril Hanouna’s production company, but also a contract with Canal +. “If things go wrong with Hanouna, they will find her a place elsewhere, even if she doesn’t really want to go to CNews”says a loved one. We finally learn that his salary would exceed €15,000 : “Financially, the offer is ‘magnificent’.
