A year after the assassination of Yvan Colonna by a fellow prisoner in Arles prison, the investigation still includes many gray areas. Tuesday, March 21, the national anti-terrorism prosecution denied a theory of the commission of inquiry into the case.
It is 10:13 a.m. on March 2, 2022. In the weight room of Arles prison (Bouches-du-Rhône), Yvan Colonna is suffocated by a fellow prisoner, Franck Elong Abé, a former jihadist fighter in Afghanistan. No one intervened, although the nine-minute attack was caught on video. The report of the General Inspectorate of Justice, in July 2022, already pointed to dysfunctions.

The Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry believes that the prison administration hid information about the attacker. She did not find the filmed images corresponding to the testimony of a supervisor.
