Disappearance of little Émile: new research could be launched
Disappearance of little Émile: new research could be launched – (France 2)
For five months, little Émile has disappeared in the hamlet of Haut-Vernet, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. While there is still no trace of the child, further searches could be planned.
Will winter bring answers about the disappearance of little Émile? Five months have passed since July 8, and there is still no trace of the child. In the coming weeks, new research could be launched. Colonel Martin Patier is the helicopter pilot who, after the disappearance, had surveyed the area around Haut-Vernet (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence). As soon as the snow melts, it could fly over the area again.
Unprecedented device
From July 8, more than 800 volunteers, assisted by dog brigades, organized several searches in the area. The gendarmes are deploying an unprecedented system. They search all the houses, search the vehicles, analyze the telephones. Family and neighbors are heard. On August 21, the investigation took a new turn: it was now opened for kidnapping and sequestration. The gendarmes then moved towards the hypothesis of a possible kidnapping.
