new reprieve for Julian Assange in the United Kingdom

There were many supporters of Julian Assange in front of the court in London (United Kingdom) on Monday May 20. Justice was to rule on his extradition to the United States, where the journalist and whistleblower risks up to 175 years in prison. A final appeal was granted to him by the courts. As a reminder, the Australian has been prosecuted for 14 years after having provided secret defense information on the operations of the American army in Iraq.

During a meeting on May 19, Argentine President Javier Milei attacked Spanish socialists, as well as Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and his wife. She was described by the Argentinian as a “corrupt woman” who “dirty” the Spanish man. In response, Pedro Sanchez had his ambassador recalled, and demanded an apology: “We ask the Argentine president to publicly correct his remarks.”
