Hydro-Québec highlighted the experience of Mr.me Scramble in organizational transformation in contexts of rapid growth and market disruption, while evolving business models and customer experience.

“Manon’s experience as a leader of service companies and a member of numerous boards of directors in various sectors of the economy is a major asset for Hydro-Québec as Québec’s energy transition begins”, underlined the outgoing president, Jacynthe Côté.

Ms. Brouillette is a member of the boards of National Bank, Cirque du Soleil, BFA Industries, Sonder, Lightspeed, Altice France and Altice USA.

Manon Brouillette will take office on June 2 for a five-year term. With the other members of the Board and the Government of Quebec, she will continue the work in progress which will lead to the appointment of the next President and Chief Executive Officer to succeed Sophie Brochu, who announced her departure at the beginning of this year.

In explaining his decision, in January, Mme Brochu insisted on this point: the government of Quebec must use its subsidy programs and not Hydro-Quebec to help companies and carry out economic development.
