New offensive against the president of the agglo de Privas

A collective of citizens has just launched a petition on the change.org site against “the privatization of the theater, swimming pools and recycling centers”. And there is indeed a study currently requested by the president of the agglomeration François Arsac (DVD) not to privatize this equipment but to entrust their management to a private company in the form of public service delegation.

Save money

The president’s argument is to save money. He therefore commissioned a study from a firm to find out what would cost the least between direct management or direct management and public service delegation. The cabinet must deliver its opinion in the coming days. François Arsac denounces a catastrophic financial situation in the agglomeration close to being placed under guardianship, which is contested by part of its majority.

I have no preference. I want what costs the least. François Arsac, president of the agglomeration of Privas.

A collective of citizens is worried about a possible privatization of the management of this equipment and in particular of a delegation of public service for the theater of Privas. According to Yves Roupsard, at the origin of the petition to entrust the management of the theater to a private company would be to eliminate all the unprofitable activities of this cultural place such as the work with the schools of the agglomeration for example.

We will transform the theater into a hall to host large profitable concerts. Yves Roupsard.

An association of swimmers also fears not to navigate in the event of private management of swimming pools. Will the teams still be able to train?

Finally, the opposition is worried about the method used without consultation, says Souhila Boudali-Khedim, socialist community adviser.

It is a new stone in the garden of François Arsac. On December 15, he was outvoted by his own majority on a draft financial pact to redress the finances of the agglomeration.
