The taxi union is organizing a new national day of mobilization on Monday March 4 against the new agreement linking taxis to the primary health insurance fund (CPAM). The increase in reimbursed patient transport prices proposed in this agreement is insufficient to cover their costs, according to the inter-union. They are demanding a renegotiation of the conditions of their remuneration and a round table with Prime Minister Gabriel Attal and the ministers concerned (Transport, Health, Economy and Finance).
The National Taxi Federation tells franceinfo that drivers are invited to carry out a snail operation on the Paris inner ring road, from 8 a.m. this Monday morning. Taxis from the Grand Est region, the West and the Loiret must join this movement.
In Toulouse, the unions announce that they want to paralyze the Toulouse-Blagnac airport and filter the tolls allowing access to the Toulouse ring road from adjacent motorways, informs France Bleu Occitanie. In Bordeaux, taxis meet on Monday at 10 a.m. on the square in front of the Matmut Atlantique stadium, in the north of the city. A convoy must go towards city hall, another to the prefecture, before converging towards Bordeaux-Mérignac airport, to spend the night there, according to France Bleu Gironde. Taxis want to set up a filter barrier on Tuesday. Drivers from Marseille and the south-eastern quarter overall will join their colleagues for a joint convoy to Nîmes. They will carry out a snail’s operation from the toll located southwest of the city, to the health insurance fund and the prefecture, indicates France Bleu Gard Lozère.
In Brittany, around a hundred taxis are expected Monday morning in Rennes, report France Bleu Armorique and France Bleu Breizh Izel. The drivers, coming from Finistère, Morbihan, Côtes d’Armor and Ille-et-Vilaine, plan to meet in Rennes around 7 a.m. The taxis will then carry out a snail-like operation by driving on the ring road “at a slow pace” before reaching the Ille-et-Vilaine prefecture at the end of the morning.
