If you like both the cinema and good food in a magnificent setting, I cannot recommend enough that you plan a few hours near the place Jean Jaures in Saint-Etienne, where a magnificent building stands – erected in 1933 by the architect Auguste Bossuet- in which today nestles a cinema, a café on the ground floor and a superb adjoining restaurant, newly renovated in the art deco spirit.

The Brasserie du Mélies regularly renews its menu and today reveals the new flavors of the dishes concocted by the chef, among other delicacies the beef cheek simmered for 8 hours ….
