Israeli strikes increased on the Gaza Strip on Wednesday May 8, while negotiations for a ceasefire were still underway.
On Tuesday, May 7, a missile fell near the tents of displaced Palestinians in the Philadelphia corridor from Gaza. The Israeli army has taken strategic control of the corridor, the only crossing point between Egypt and the Palestinian enclave. A temporary port built to facilitate humanitarian aid
The United States, worried about the situation in Rafah, announced that it would suspend the delivery of bombs to Israel. The White House spokesperson also considered unacceptable the closure of the two main access points for humanitarian aid located in Rafah and Kerem Shalom. “Closed crossing points must reopen.
