The daughter of singer Jean-Luc Lahaye, named Margaux and aged 40, has been indicted since January 2022 for “subordination of witnesses and complicity in the rape of minors” in the context of a case where his father was himself accused of rape and sexual assault on two minor girls.
The Paris Court of Appeal canceled this indictment a few days ago, on March 28.
The reminder of the facts
On November 5, 2021, the singer was indicted and placed in pre-trial detention for rape, rape of a minor over 15 years old, sexual assault of minors over 15 years old, corruption of a minor over 15 years old and abuse of weakness of a minor. Two young women, born in 1998 and 2000, accuse the singer of rape and sexual assault in 2013 and 2014, when they were still minors.
Margaux Lahaye was then suspected of having put pressure on the complainants with the aim that they do not speak or file complaints.
Already convicted for similar acts
The artist, very popular in the 80s and 90s, had already been convicted for similar offenses in 2015.
In fact, that year, it was sentenced to one year in prison for corruption of minors, on one of the two young girls. Incarcerated at the La Santé prison in Paris for six months, the singer had also been placed under the status of assisted witness in this case for invasion of the privacy of private life by fixing images of a sexual nature and possession of child pornography images.
