New human remains and debris recovered from Titan wreck

The US Coast Guard recovered the last parts of the Titan submersible and “other suspected human remains” during an operation last week 1,600 feet from the wreck of the Titanic.

This was indicated by the American Coast Guard on Tuesday, explaining that the operation took place on October 4.

Maritime safety engineers notably found the ship’s titanium tip intact at the bottom of the ocean.

“Other suspected human remains were carefully recovered from Titan’s debris and transported for analysis by U.S. medical professionals,” the Coast Guard said in a statement.

The material evidence was transferred to an American port to be cataloged and analyzed.

Authorities must still investigate the debris before making way for the planned public hearing into the tragedy.

The first pieces of the Titan and human remains had already been recovered on June 18, 10 days after its implosion.

The five victims were Stockton Rush, 61, CEO of OceanGate, Paul-Henri Nargeolet, 77, French Titanic expert, Hamish Harding, 58, British billionaire, Shahzada Dawood, 48, Pakistani businessman, and his 19-year-old son, Sulaiman Dawood.

They had all boarded the submersible for a chance to observe the wreck of the famous liner Titanic.
