Three after the success of A Star Is Born, Lady Gaga is coming back to the big screen soon in House of Gucci, a long-awaited film that depicts the Gucci family’s rise to the helm of Italy’s fashion empire, its power struggles and its tragedies.
The singer of Poker face plays the socialite Patrizia Reggiani, ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci, who was sentenced in 1998 to 16 years in prison for the murder of her husband.
Besides Lady Gaga, House of Gucci displays a five-star cast with, among others, Al Pacino, who plays Patriarch Aldo Gucci, Adam Driver (the murdered husband while he was CEO of Gucci), Jared Leto, Jeremy Irons, Camille Cottin, Salma Hayek, Jack Huston …
The film directed by Ridley Scott is based on the book by Sarah Gay Forden. The title of the book sums up the saga of this family in which reality exceeds fiction: The House of Gucci – A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamor, and Greed. It will be on theaters screens from November 24.
