The prospect of buying or building your own cottage certainly makes many people dream, but, luckily, the rental offer is abundant and varied. And since last Thursday, new accommodations can be reserved online for this summer in several parks of the Société des establishments de plein air du Québec (SEPAQ).
Several brand new Horizon cabins have been added to the rental offer in several national parks, particularly in the wildlife reserves of Matane, Portneuf and Rimouski. The Mines Madeleine refuge, in Parc national de la Gaspésie, has been transformed into a chalet that can accommodate eight people.
With a modern design, the SEPAQ Horizon chalets have two or three bedrooms and are always designed to harmonize with their environment. Abundant windows to let in light and nature, open main living area with high ceilings, wood stove, two or three sofas for endless lounging, entrance hall designed to store sports and hunting equipment or fishing: these chalets are designed with functionality and comfort in mind. They are also almost entirely made of Quebec wood and favor the use of solar energy, says SEPAQ.
Other novelties
Among the other novelties of the summer at SEPAQ, two refuges in Parc national du Lac-Témiscouata have also been transformed into rustic camps. At the national parks of Mont-Tremblant, Mont-Orford, Fjord-du-Sagnenay and the tourist center of Lac-Simon, new ready-to-camp facilities have been added. New campsites have also been set up at the Grands Jardins and the Matane wildlife reserve.
Online booking for this summer, but also for next fall and winter. First come, first served.
