Transport Minister Omar Alghabra announced Monday morning in London, Ontario, the “Incentives for Zero Emission Medium and Heavy Vehicles” (iVZEML) program, endowed with nearly 550 million over four years.
The gross vehicle weight rating must be greater than 3856 kilograms to qualify.
The complete list of medium or heavy vehicles eligible for this subsidy is available on the Transport Canada website.
The amount of the incentives varies according to the weight of the vehicle.

These discounts may be combined with provincial or territorial incentives.
Only new ZEVs are eligible for the federal incentive, and companies, governments and municipalities that operate fleets are eligible for up to 10 incentives, or a maximum of $1,000,000, under this program at course of the same year.
