baptized serenades, this new anthology thus marks a return to the solo formula which revealed it. In February 2022, the pianist launched aubades, a first orchestral album in career, recorded with 12 musicians. The forthcoming EP includes for its part pieces ofaubades, in bare versions, to which will be added three brand new compositions.

Unlike many artists associated with what is called the neoclassical, Jean-Michel Blais is not offended – this time, at least – that his melodies accompany us into the arms of Morpheus, the time of a reassuring sleep full of beautiful magical dreams.

“I normally try to play my music to keep your attention by constantly introducing new elements,” he said in a statement. But with this EP I was thinking about the music of the night.
