Having become a leading figure in French song, Vianney was sponsor of the 2023 edition of the Telethon last year. On several occasions, the singer had explained how significant this role was, having worked alongside people with disabilities. The artist explained that his wife’s mother died recently from multiple sclerosis.
“Myriam inspired me so much, I owe her a lot. Prisoner of her body, she never complained, she lived this hellish life of disability which was also our daily life. This family adventure, I kept it secret. Now that she is gone, I dream that it will be fertile in me” he declared on the microphone of Sud Infos. And to add: “Disability is a parallel world where any joy, any victory is necessarily collective. There are people in this world who deserve our respect, our admiration and yet they are the ones we see the least. We must therefore seize the opportunities to highlight them and raise money to offer them a better world.
Vianney faces death again
Today, Vianney takes on a new symbolic role. The one who is the father of a little boy has just been chosen for the voice of the French Federation of Cardiology (FFC). This Sunday March 31, 2024, Le Parisien revealed that the coach of “The Voice”
has just recorded “A heart elsewhere”a song which will be the new anthem of this association which works to raise awareness around heart disease.
He explains why this role is also meaningful for him. “As a family, we recently had to face the departure of a friend for heart reasons. 20 years old. Brutal and senseless.” he said. It is therefore to pay tribute to this deceased loved one that he accepted this “noble mission”.
