October 13, 2018 will forever remain a dark day for the Depardieu clan. It was on this date that Guillaume Depardieu, the actor’s eldest son, died of pneumonia at the age of 36. A tragedy that turned the life of his sister Julie upside down. Guest on the airwaves of RFM in the show 1 hour with… this Saturday, November 18, 2023, the 50-year-old actress agreed to return to this tragedy. “I hope he’s okay where he is. I believe in it now. Before I didn’t believe in anything. I’m sure he’s better”, she confided into the microphone of our colleagues.
Intrigued, the host therefore wanted to know more about the beliefs of Philippe’s partner Katerine. Without hesitation, the latter affirmed that she was convinced that there was indeed life after death. Without this conviction, Billy and Alfred’s mother would probably not have overcome this terrible ordeal. “In fact, I was very, very depressed when he died. And it’s true that I dreamed of it very quickly”, she admitted before adding: “I swear to you that the dream seems so real! I say to myself: ‘But it looks good! Better than in this life'”.

“See you in the afterlife”
During her interview with Bernard Montiel, Julie Depardieu assured that she “saw” regularly his late brother thanks to the world of dreams. “I see him, he’s with lots of people, he’s super smiling and he’s eternally handsome. He’s at his best. You know, it’s not because we don’t see them , that it doesn’t exist.” And to continue: “See you in the afterlife, you’ll see. We’ll have a blast. I’m sure it’s great and it’s better than here.” Confidences which did not fail to move the listeners.
