New Brunswick | Child missing for two months in Florida found in Moncton

(Moncton) The Royal Canadian Mounted Police in New Brunswick found a six-year-old boy who had been carried for two months in Florida on Sunday in Moncton.

In a series of messages posted on Twitter, the RCMP confirmed that the child, originally from Miami, was found safe and sound. He had been wanted by Miami-Dade police since August 27.

A 45-year-old man wanted in connection with the American investigation was arrested in a Moncton business and is in police custody, as is a 68-year-old woman who was also wanted by American authorities.

The woman was intercepted in Saint-Paul, New Brunswick, about 40 kilometers northwest of Moncton.

Miami-Dade police had previously identified these two people as the child’s father and paternal grandmother.

The FBI was investigating the case with Miami-Dade Police and the US National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The FBI had previously indicated that it was possible that the three people were in Maine or eastern Canada.
