Additional threats targeting Jewish groups were reported to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) on Thursday, after hundreds of organizations were targeted with similar messages on Wednesday.
“We suspect that the individuals responsible for yesterday’s threats are responsible for the threats received today,” RCMP reported on X.
The RCMP said it is working with local and international authorities to identify the suspects and put an end to their activities.
About 100 Jewish organizations in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and elsewhere in Canada were the target of an email Wednesday morning containing a bomb threat. The message threateningly stated that explosives had been placed in the building, hidden in backpacks that were set to detonate in the coming hours.
On Tuesday, the same message was sent to hundreds of hospitals and shopping malls in Delhi, India, triggering widespread operations by police and fire departments.
