(Boulder City) Boulder City, Nevada police say they are en route to the Hoover Dam, where an explosion reportedly occurred Tuesday morning.

Images uploaded to social media show what appears to be a fire or explosion in a building at the foot of the dam.
A huge plume of black smoke rises into the sky.
Calls to police at the dam and officials from the United States Bureau of Land Management were unsuccessful.
Boulder City firefighters have also confirmed they are on their way, but have no further details at this time.
