The Opia LT features a user-friendly design and robust performance with a central motor and a substantial battery. Discover Neomouv’s Exciting New Electric Bikes
If you’re a fan of electric bikes, chances are you’ve come across the Neomouv brand while exploring Decathlon stores or their online platform. Neomouv has established a distribution agreement with this prominent French retailer, featuring select models. As this partnership approaches its conclusion in 2025, the Sarthe-based manufacturer is revitalizing its product lineup, which will be available at specialized retailers. At the recent 2 Roues Show in Lyon, Neomouv unveiled four innovative models, including an electric cargo bike.
Introducing the Neomouv Opia LT Cargo Bike
The Neomouv Opia LT is a longtail electric cargo bike designed for practicality and affordability. This model features a 20-inch rear wheel and is equipped to accommodate two children comfortably. With an easy-to-navigate 44 cm step-through frame, accessing the bike is a breeze. During our brief test ride, we found the bike’s design accommodating, even allowing a size 45 foot to rest on the frame’s base. However, the frame’s thinner tubes may raise durability concerns in comparison to sturdier models such as the Gazelle Cabby.
While the Opia LT may not be the most agile longtail bike due to its stabilizers, it offers a comfortable ride thanks to its seat suspension and wide cushioned seat. The upright riding position, aided by the curved handlebars and adjustable stem, enhances comfort. Despite its substantial weight of around 45 kg, the bike can be stored upright with some effort.
Equipped with a central motor providing 80 Nm of torque, the Neomouv Opia LT delivers lively performance at 48 V and includes five assistance modes. The bike features a 7-speed derailleur for driving the rear wheel and is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes for reliable stopping power. The powerful 20.8 Ah battery promises approximately 70 km of autonomy, making the Opia LT an appealing choice at a price of 3,500 euros, available starting March 2025.
Urban and Hybrid Models for Every Rider
In addition to the Opia LT, Neomouv is set to launch three more electric bikes by early summer 2025. The standout model is the Roller NG, an urban bike that combines style with functionality. With its double diagonal tube frame, polished welds, and striking green finish, this bike is sure to catch the eye. It boasts a 60 Nm central motor, an 8-speed Nexus transmission, a 504 Wh battery, a 30 mm travel fork, hydraulic brakes, and comes fully equipped, all for approximately 2,500 euros.
For those seeking versatility, the Pomera is a fully suspended electric hybrid bike. Featuring an open frame, an 87 mm travel rear shock, and a 100 mm air front fork, it’s designed for comfort rather than rugged off-road adventures. With its 75 Nm Neoassist 3 motor, a 9-speed derailleur, a 706 Wh battery, and wide tires, the Pomera is perfect for longer excursions on varied terrain, priced at 3,500 euros.
Lastly, the compact 20-inch electric bike offers a stylish design similar to the Roller NG, featuring polished welds and an iridescent gray finish. This compact model includes a 60 Nm central motor, a fully integrated 522 Wh battery, and a rear rack, with an anticipated price of 2,500 euros.
All of these exciting new models, along with the existing Neomouv range, will come with a year of complimentary services, ensuring assistance in the event of breakdowns or punctures.
