The Minister of Health, Aurélien Rousseau, declared on Wednesday October 11 that Social Security would “reconnect very quickly” dialogue with private doctors. The latter are called to a renewable strike from Friday by all of their unions. “I will sign the framework letter in the coming days” which will allow Health Insurance to begin new price negotiations with the unions representing private doctors, he said.
The unions also want to show their opposition to the Valletoux bill on access to care, which returns to the Senate at the end of October.
Following the failure of a first conventional negotiation this winter, the basic consultations will be reevaluated by 1.5 euros from November 1st. But the government does not want to make more concessions without obtaining new commitments from doctors that serve its objectives, such as helping the French find a doctor, or limiting the increase in drug consumption.
