Negotiations for the renewal of the employment contract, which expired last March, seem to have played a role in the resignation of Dominic Ricard. “After more than a year of negotiations, we have to admit that the Treasury Board has a lack of knowledge of the police profession and that it has no recognition of the involvement and work of a police force in level 6, ”wrote Mr. Ricard in a Facebook post announcing his departure from the functions he had held since November 2020, which quickly prompted around a hundred comments from his sisters and brothers.
