Sanna Marin was not on drugs. Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin, in the midst of controversy after the broadcast of a video in which we see her partying in a private setting, tested negative in a drug test, her entourage announced on Monday August 22. Madame Marin’s urine was tested for the presence of different drugs such as cocaine, amphetamine, cannabis and opioids, said Iida Vallin, a special adviser to the Prime Minister. “The test was a comprehensive test. We did not choose how the test was carried out”said Iida Vallin.

To dispel suspicions of drug use, the Prime Minister had taken a drug test on Friday. She said she had “spent an evening with friends” and that the videos had “was filmed in private places”. She admitted to drinking alcohol, but denied taking drugs. “Never in my life, and not even in my youth, did I not take drugs”she said.
