“Nearly 38,000” people participated in demonstrations against the vaccine pass in France, Saturday, January 22, according to figures from the Ministry of the Interior. The turnout was down sharply from the previous week, when 54,000 demonstrators marched through the streets. Two days before the entry into force of the vaccination pass, 171 actions were counted on Saturday in the country for a total of “nearly 38,000 demonstrators”, the ministry said.

In Paris, some 5,200 activists were divided into three processions, according to the ministry. In the provinces, 168 demonstrations brought together a total of 32,700 people.
