Since the announcement of the expansion of the booster dose to all vaccinated adults, the counter has gone wild. 1,246,687 appointments were made on Doctolib during the day of Thursday, November 25, before and after Olivier Véran’s press conference, for a vaccine booster against Covid-19, reports the site, or more than three times more than Wednesday (347,769 appointments).
The explosion in the number of appointments made for a reminder is particularly important among 18-49 year olds. They represent more than 60% of the slots reserved on Thursday, against a little more than 30% on Wednesday.
Note that the number of appointments made for a first injection has been rising steadily since the start of the week: just over 15,000 reservations on Monday, and 23,000 on Thursday, a record since September 30.
For this first injection, the average waiting time between making the appointment and completing it increases. It goes from eight days for appointments made on Wednesday to 13 days for appointments made on Thursday.
