NBA | Veteran Marcus Morris joins Cleveland Cavaliers

(Cleveland) Veteran Marcus Morris has signed a 10-day contract with Cleveland, Cavaliers general manager Koby Altman announced Monday.


Morris appeared in 37 games with the 76ers from Philadelphia this season.

He was traded to the San Antonio Spurs on February 8 and released three weeks later.

Morris competes for a 13e season in the NBA.

He also played with the Houston Rockets, Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons, Boston Celtics, New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers.

His career average is 12 points per game. With the Sixers earlier this season, he delivered six games of 15 points or more.

Morris played in 67 playoff games, including 45 as a starter.

During these, his success rate beyond the perimeter was 40.7%.

Aged 34, Morris was drafted 14the in 2011, by Houston.

In 2011, he was named the Big 12 Player of the Year with the University of Kansas.

The Cavaliers will play in Indiana on Monday night against the Pacers.
