The 2024-25 NBA season will begin on October 22 with two games, including one in Boston between the New York Knicks and the defending champion Celtics.
The Celtics will also receive their 18th birthday rings.e title, on this occasion.
The evening will end in Los Angeles, where the Lakers will host the Minnesota Timberwolves.
We will then see three gold medal-winning Olympians in LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Anthony Edwards.
All these clubs will also be in action on Christmas Day, where we will see in order Spurs-Knicks, T-Wolves-Mavericks, Sixers-Celtics, Lakers-Warriors and Nuggets-Suns, starting at noon.
Spurs haven’t played on a December 25 since 2016, but the emergence of phenomenon Victor Wembanyama has changed that.
There will be no NBA games on November 5, the day of the presidential election in the United States.
All Silver Circuit teams will play on November 4, February 12, April 11 and April 13.
The Chase Center in San Francisco will host the All-Star Game on February 16.
The Los Angeles Clippers will inaugurate their new home, the Intuit Dome, this season. The first official game will be presented on October 23, against Phoenix.
The date of the first game of the NBA Finals is June 5.
On the Raptors side, their 30e campaign will begin on October 23 in Toronto, against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Their first game abroad will be on October 26 in Minnesota.
As with all other teams, the schedule released Thursday contains 80 games.
The other two will take place from December 10 to 16 and will be determined after the group stage of the NBA Cup.
During the tournament, Toronto will play Milwaukee (November 12), host Detroit (November 15), visit the Heat (November 29) and host Indiana (December 3), during the group stage.
Montreal’s Luguentz Dort and the Oklahoma City Thunder will be the visitors in the ‘Giants of Africa’ match in Toronto on December 5.
Early in the season, on Oct. 28, the Raptors will host the Denver Nuggets and last season’s MVP Nikola Jokic and Kitchener native Jamal Murray.
James and the Los Angeles Lakers will be at Scotiabank Arena on March 1er november.
The Celtics will be the opponents there on January 15 and February 25, after the Raptors play in Boston on November 16 and December 31.
Rookie of the Year for 2023-24 (and Olympic silver medalist), Wembanyama will make his debut on March 23, with the Spurs.
The longest home stay for Darko Rajakovic’s club will be five games, starting on 1er December.
The longest journey will also be five meetings, starting on November 4.
Also note that the Toronto club will play in Houston at 2 p.m. on Super Bowl day, February 9.
Montrealer Chris Boucher will begin a seventh season with the Raptors.
The other Quebecers in the NBA are Montrealer Bennedict Mathurin of the Pacers and Olivier-Maxence Prosper of the Mavericks.
Indiana will play in Canada on Nov. 18 and Dec. 3; the Pacers will host the Raptors on Feb. 26.
Dallas will play in Toronto on December 7, before hosting the Queen City club on April 11.
The Raptors will play their preseason schedule from October 6 to 18, starting with a clash at the Bell Centre against the Washington Wizards.
Their training camp will take place at the UQAM Sports Center, from 1er as of October 5th.
