NBA | Raptors fall to Rockets in Houston

(Houston) Pascal Siakam had 18 points, but the Toronto Raptors lost 116-100 to the Houston Rockets on Friday.

It was the Raptors’ third preseason game, following wins over the Jazz and Celtics. The win over Utah came in Edmonton.

On Friday, the Toronto club made less than one of five three-pointers (six for 34, a success rate of 17.6%). Dalano Banton scored 14 points for Toronto, which only had the advantage in the first quarter (29-28).

OG Anunoby got 13 points. Gary Trent, Precious Achiuwa and Montrealer Chris Boucher added 10 points each. Fred VanVleet had an evening off.

Scottie Barnes provided just two free throws, going 0-for-5 in continuous play. However, he led his team with seven rebounds.

After a home game against Chicago on Sunday, the Raptors will end their preseason schedule in Montreal next Friday against Boston. Their regular season will begin on October 19 in Toronto, against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
